Fun times!
We were able to spend last evening with Jason, Brenda, and kiddo's. Thank goodness! We needed to get away from the camp. It was a really long week last week. I will not bore you with the details, but can I just say, last week seemed like 3 weeks. It does not help that Jonah is with my Mom this week. We miss him! Anyway...last night was a lot of fun. We talked of old times, we talked of new times, we were informed that if we dare have another boy (not going to happen) Ally has forbade us to use the name Dumpster. This is evidently what she has chosen to name the next Willis boy.
We were talking about the name war. Why do we share what we think are names that we love, and would never want anyone else to use. Or why do we hear the name that someone loves, and just think that it is OK to steal it? Or why do we claim a name as our own before we are dating, engaged or even married? Also why is it that after someone you love has used a name, you feel like you need to tell that person that they have just ruined your life by stealing a name that you never told them was yours in the first place. Why on earth would we take someone else's family name and just tell them, sorry it's my name now. Not just a last name, or first name, but a generational name. For intsance: Someone was named after a family member, and only wants to keep that name as thier own. Why do we feel like we can just take that away from some sweet 12 year old girl, who then goes and cries for an evening about it. It all fair in love and war? Do we really have no conscious? Are we so conceited enough to think that the 15 names we love can not be used by anyone else? I can not say that I am not guilty af any of these things. I also admit to having thought to myself..."that's mine, you can't have it!" I am just curious why we do this to ourselves.
Are we really that posessive of a baby name? I can admit, sadly enough, that I am guilty. Thank goodness that I am done having babies. The names of my children are all set and in place. Prayerfully they will never feel like they need to change their names. Here they are, fair game, if you dare: Jonah Michael, Lydia Grace, Fiona Kelly, Ruby May, and Lillian Ivy. I will even confess to the names I supposedly hacked. Grace, evidentually not mine to take, and Fiona, I heard a rumor that this was someone's name as well. I believe that these are the only ones. I also fully admit that I took the name Lydia. Ben has a cousin named Lydia. We checked this with her, and she loves that she has a namesake.
In conclusion: Ally, I will not be taking the name Dumpster.
A big thank you to the Willis' We had tons of fun, and lots of laughs.
Thanks
I am giving you the opportunity to tell the truth and confess of you have any name stealing, owning issues. No one will judge, we will just simply accept you and your beautiful childs name. Unless you took it off my list! :)

Nice to see you this morning!
I am begging you to use the name Dumpster for a dog or cat or something so I don't have to use it!!!
If Ally gets her way we will use Grace -
