If you have not read my previous post, go ahead, read it first please.  This will make more sense.

So, I have been praying for you ladies today.  I don't know if any of you read my blog from this AM, but I wanted to share something else with you.  The song "Beautiful Scandalous Night"   I had not heard this song before I started reading "Bring the Rain"  Which by the way, if you haven't read you should.  Anyway, Angie had it on her playlist, and the first time I heard it I bought it immediately on itunes.  I loved it!  I am a fan of most any kind of Christian music, but more than the music, I love the lyrics.  I also have to confess that music ministers to me in a beautiful way.  It is for me, Gods Word, wrapped up in a format that I get.  I love to sing, (though not very well) and I love how some songs capture Gods word so well. Notice I said some. There are those songs that you really have to stretch to make the "fit".  That makes no sense to me, but oh well.  Back to this particular song.  I am going to type out the lyrics and let you hear for yourself what has been happening to me today.

"Beautiful Scandalous Night"
Go on up to the mountain of mercy,
To the crimson perpetual tide.
Kneel down on the shore, be thirsty no more,
Go under and be purified.

Follow Christ to the Holy Mountain.
Sinner sorry and wrecked by the fall.
Lend your heart and you soul,
In the fountain that flows,
For you, and for me, and for all.

At the wonderful, tragic, mysterious tree
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by His blood
And forever washed white on that
Beautiful scandalous night.

On a hillside you will be delivered
At the foot of the cross justified
And your spirit restored by the river
That pours from our blessed Savior's side.

Chorus:
At the wonderful, tragic, mysterious tree
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by his blood
And forever washed white on that
Beautiful scandalous night.

He'll carry the sin of mankind on His back
And the sky went black

Go up to the Mountain of mercy
To the crimson perpetual tide.
Kneel down on the shore, be thirsty no more,
Go under and be purified.

Chorus
Chorus.

Love this!  This is a sweet picture of what our Savior did for you and I. I am so thankful that we are forever washed white.  I have in my mind the wordless book.  Grandpa Dean and Grandma Ethel, showing us each of the pages with the colors of black, red, white, green and gold.  As the song went:  My heart was filled with sin (black) until the Savior came in.  His precious blood (red) I know, has washed me white as snow (white) And in Gods word I'm told, I walk the street of gold (gold, obviously) Oh what a wonderful day He washed my sins away.  Green is for growing.  I don't know if that fit in the song somewhere.  Thank You Father, Thank You for your blood!  Thank you for washing me white, forever.
Sarah.

Sorry, I have had one of those days, It is just so apparent to me that I need my Savior!
